A purchase order is how stock properly enters WakaERP. It records what you ordered, what it cost, and what actually arrived.
- 1New order. Pick a supplier — or add one there and then without leaving the page.
- 2Add your items. Each line is one row: product, quantity, unit cost, batch, expiry.
- 3Save as a draft while you check it.
- 4Send it, then receive the goods when they arrive.
Batch and expiry
Enter the batch number and expiry date on the line as you order. This is the moment that information is in front of you — chasing it afterwards is how expiry tracking ends up half empty. The wand button generates a batch number if the supplier did not give you one.
Partial deliveries
Receive what arrived and the order stays open as Partial, so the outstanding quantity is still visible. Receiving adds the received quantity to stock at the order location and records the cost against the product.
An order can be deleted while it is Draft, and cancelled while it is Sent or Partial. Anything already received stays received — cancelling does not unpick stock that is on your shelves.
